Drawing inspiration from her Puerto Rican heritage and the natural world, Karina Cruz Ortiz is a designer, illustrator, and visual storyteller whose work radiates rhythm, color, and movement. Through vibrant, texture-rich visuals, she celebrates everyday life—crafting imagery that sparks connection, wonder, and lasting impact.
With over five years of experience across design, fine art, and illustration, Karina brings a versatile voice to every project. She holds a B.F.A. in Illustration from SCAD, with a concentration in Surface Design and Concept Art. Her work blends digital and traditional techniques to create trend-forward, on-brand solutions across commercial, fashion, editorial, and lifestyle spaces.
Currently, Karina works as a Print Designer for apparel at Carter’s. She also offers freelance services, specializing in custom designs for commercial, fashion, paper goods, and editorial projects. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her hiking, beading, practicing yoga, or solving puzzles.
Karina is always open to new opportunities and collaborations—especially those that inspire joy, storytelling, and meaningful connection.
